Tyre Winter
Product description
This winter tyre from the Japanese manufacturer IRC has had a surprisingly quick impact on the moped and scooter scene. The Urban Snow has also established itself due to its innovative sipe technology.
Our customers’ enthusiasm alone should convince you to consider the Urban Snow from IRC for the winter. Here at SIP Scootershop, why know just why this tyre is so good.
- Sipe technology
- M+S marking
- Traction and safety
With the Urban Snow, in 2009, IRC designed the first ever winter scooter tyre using sipe technology. The special rubber compound with its high silica content ensure optimum riding characteristics for harsh winter conditions. On the ice and snow in particular, this tyre impresses due to its perfect grip and excellent traction. It has almost no weaknesses on wet roads or in cold conditions. To round things off, the Urban Snow also copes well with warm temperatures and dry roads.
Conclusion: With the Urban Snow, the Japanese company IRC has created an evergreen. It is a tyre that proves its worth in a wide range of conditions.

Our ideas for the cold season - SIP-TIP:
- Keep your hands nice and warm with grip cuffs
- The cold protection helps in wind and weather
- For an extra charge we mount the tyre directly onto the matching rim
SIP has inexpensive rims for all vehicles. It is best to mount a set of winter or all-weather tyres on rims, then you can change quickly and easily when the weather conditions are right. You don't have to get your fingers dirty unnecessarily or visit a workshop to mount them.
Feedback and test reports
»I ride the tyre all year round and it's very safe and good even in wet conditions, different surfaces, dirty roads, etc. It's not a racing tyre, but it's very reliable and provides safety in a wide variety of situations.«
-vnespa, SIP Community
»Very good grip on dry and wet slippery surfaces and reasonably good on iced. Good also on fresh snow. A bit too noisy and harsh steering as negative points. Overall a very good choice for riding on winter conditions.«
–GEMARLA, SIP Community
»Winter tyres: Super tyres! Good grip, no unusual noises!«
