Setting the SpeedBox 3.0 B.Tuning module for YAMAHA PW drives

You activate the SpeedBox 3.0 chip with the display. After pressing the LIGHT button or ????, the display briefly shows 99 km/h. Now you can drive at unlimited speed. Now you can drive at unlimited speed. Press the LIGHT button again to end the function of the module. The display shows 25 km/h and the speed limit is switched on again. Your e-bike functions as if the chip had not been installed at all. If your e-bike does not have a control panel, simply use the key combination +-+- to activate or deactivate the Speedbox 3.0 B.Tuning.

If you are using the app for the first time, you will be asked to enter a PIN, which you will then use each time you start the app. You will also need to create a service password, which will be used if you forget your PIN or want to change it.

To set the maximum speed, shift down three times and then shift up three times. The current speed limit is displayed. To change the maximum speed, briefly press the LIGHT button or turn the rear wheel 360°. The last limit displayed is saved after a five-second pause. The Tuning Module and the SpeedBox App The app specially developed for SpeedBox 3.0 B.Tuning uses Bluetooth to connect the e-bike to your smartphone. After downloading the app and connecting the smartphone to the e-bike, you can see the current data and other values on your mobile phone. SpeedBox B.Tuning is not absolutely necessary to use the SpeedBox App. But it will give you a complete overview of your data, progress and performance. The demo version can be tested with all functions and you can also check whether the app works with your smartphone. Your mobile phone must have Bluetooth 4.0 or higher.

Assembly and disassembly

To connect the SpeedBox 3.0 B.Tuning to an e-bike, use the colour plugs that come with a key for the correct connection, so installing the chip is really easy. After the battery is removed, the connections on the motor are exposed. Remove all connections from the motor to the sensor and to the display, then connect the SpeedBox 3.0 B.Tuning in between. Just follow the colours and nothing can go wrong.

Attention! The SpeedBox 3.0 B.Tuning is not compatible with the following e-bikes: CrossCore, CrossConnect, YDX-Torc, YDX-Moro, YDX-Moro Pro, UrbanRush and Wabash.

If you want to update the software of your e-bike, first uninstall the SpeedBox from the e-bike, update the software and reinstall the SpeedBox in the e-bike.

Note: If the tuning module is installed on a brand new e-bike, you should have ridden the bike at least one kilometre beforehand.
