Getting started with the SpeedBox 1.1 B.Tuning for BOSCH Smart System (BS3)

After installing the SpeedBox 1.1 B.Tuning, you must first call up the menu and enter the wheel circumference of your e-bike. Then press the "-" button to activate the WALK function. The value 9.9 km/h (6.2 mph) now appears on the Display and the speed limit is lifted from this moment on. Or you can use the SpeedBox App and your smartphone directly.

If you want to deactivate the SpeedBox 1.1 B.Tuning again, press the "-" button again to activate the WALK function. The Display will then show 2.5 km/h (1.6 mph) and the speed limit is switched back on. The e-bike has therefore been reset to the initial status.

If the e-bike does not have the WALK function, the tuning can be activated or deactivated using the +-+- buttons.

Up to a speed of 22.2 km/h, the correct values are shown on the Display. At higher speeds, the Display must be read differently:

A display of 22.7 means that you are traveling at 27 km/h. If you see the value 23.5, you are traveling at 35 km/h.

If the software needs to be updated, you should remove the Tuning Chip E-Bike, then install the new software and reinstall the module.

The Speedbox 1.1 B.Tuning module is compatible with the Kiox 300 Display, among others.

Display of the correct riding distance

The so-called "countdown" ensures that the tuning is not recognized and always works smoothly. If your e-bike is charging with the Battery connected, you don't need to worry about the countdown. But if you need to remove the Battery from the E-Bike to charge it, you should wait until the SpeedBox 1.1 module has completed the countdown after your ride. As soon as this is done, the display of your e-bike will show the distance you have actually ridden. If the countdown is interrupted, the E-Bike will still work perfectly.

Important: The SpeedBox 1.1 B.Tuning for BOSCH Smart System does not work with e-bikes that have a magnetic disk on the Valve (BOSCH Rim Magnet).

Assembly and disassembly

It's best to watch the video and download the instructions. Just make sure that the Bushes are connected in the direction of the Lock. The plugs should not be turned during connection. Removal is just as easy as installing the SpeedBox 1.1 B.Tuning module for BOSCH Smart System. You can order the Puller you need for installation and removal directly from SIP Scootershop.

Note: If the Tuning Chip E-Bike is installed on a brand new E-Bike, you should have ridden the bike for at least one kilometer beforehand. It is recommended not to update the software of the e-bike. This may affect the function of the SpeedBox

The SpeedBox App

The SpeedBox App costs you nothing. It was specially developed for the SpeedBox B.Tuning Module and provides you with lots of additional data and parameters. Your smartphone is paired with the Tuning Chip via Bluetooth. You can also use this App to save routes and share them with other riders. Here are a few functions:

• Tuning Control: you don't activate the tuning via the Display, but directly with the App.
• Precise data: Speed, distance, battery status, revs and much more.
• Invisible: When active, tuning can no longer be controlled via the Display.
• Lock: You can switch off the Engine and unauthorized persons have no access.
• Diagnostics: Many technical details about the Engine.

The SpeedBox App is available in the App Store or on Google Play.
