Tank, "Sei Giorni Style"

The "Sei Giorni" models have a legendary reputation today. These were racing Vespas that were developed, built and sent out onto the track by the Piaggio factory itself. These models got their name from the international "Sei Giorni" (six days) regularity race, in which Piaggio participated very successfully in 1951. A striking visual feature of these "factory racers" were the enlarged fuel tanks.

We stock two versions of the Sei Giorni tanks. One that is a little closer to the originals and a somewhat free interpretation of the historical models. The original Sei Giorni tanks were always a bit different anyway, because they were handmade for each generation and only produced in a minimal number of pieces.

Compared to the series, the tank is noticeably larger and reaches almost to the saddle cover. With a tank capacity of about 9 litres (depending on the model), the range is significantly increased. A sensible addition, especially for tuned wideframe engines.

Please note when fitting

The Sei Giorni tanks are designed for use with the original saddles. A luggage rack or an accessory fuel gauge cannot be combined with these tanks.

Conclusion: not only a beautiful accessory, but also very useful on tours.

The right preparation - SIP-TIP:

• Before painting, test-fit the tank once to avoid damaging the paintwork with any finishing work.
• Whether primed or oiled: every new tank must be carefully cleaned before use, e.g. with brake cleaner.
• A new fuel tap is always recommended.
• Do not forget small parts for the fuel tank cap: Gasket, screw, nut
