Finally, following much hoping and patience, PIAGGIO have at last started production of a sport orientated seating system for the larger modern Vespa models on the market. Thanks to the ergonomic design, including a soft gel layer for the rider, it is perfectly suited for both jetting around town and also the longer trip or two. Due to its relatively small seating area of just 58cm in length it is more suited for use without a pillion although it can be adapted for legal two-up use with the inclusion of the suitable original PIAGGIO passenger grab rail (part no PI655829).

In able to mount seat units originally meant for Vespa GTS or GTV models onto the GT or GT L models the existing luggage rack must also be replaced with a cover (part no PI621141) to bridge the gap created behind the seat by its removal.

SIP-TIP: To extend the service life of your seat unit it should be regularly cleaned using a suitable care product such as the vinyl and leather cleaner made by SONAX (#14222000).

Mounting Hint: All seat units from the Vespa GTS models compatible with the pre-2014 produced types remain suitable for the GTS models produced since (from 2014). To fit an older seat the damping rubbers have to be repositioned towards the edge (5mm holes required on the seat frame, no scooter modifications necessary).
