Product description
When fitting a new flywheel cover, a replacement ignition or a MMW aluminium fanwheel to an electronic ignition system its fins can come into contact with the inside of the cover. This not only causes disturbing noises but also damage to both items. Often washers are placed on the fastening screws between the cover and the motor to solve this but this leads to a loss of essential cylinder cooling air between the gap that this 'solution' creates.
A more efficient and elegant solution is presented in the form of this SERIE PRO and CRIMAZ flywheel cover spacer. Simply positioned underneath the flywheel cover, which can then be positioned 1-3mm further away from the flywheel, according to version. The fins of the flywheel can then rotate freely, with no loss of air delivery to the cylinder!
SIP-TIP: The original flywheel cover fixing screws have only a 10mm long thread. This could make them too short to hold the flywheel cover when the spacer is in place. To solve this we have compiled a suitable flywheel cover screw set (M6x16mm # PI434541).
