The SIP riveting pliers are a classic that have been tried and tested in many workshops over many years and make the installation of kick strips simple and beautiful.

In the development of the riveting pliers 2.0 from SIP Spare Parts, all the experiences of us and our customers have been incorporated to further improve the handling and function of the pliers. Even if there is no helping hand in the workshop and the rivet assembly has to be done alone. In addition, the finish of the pliers and the packaging have been upgraded and also meet the highest demands.

Of course, all the positive features of the standard riveting pliers are also retained. The rivet heads have been revised in detail. Two pieces for the two main applications are included in the package: an extra slim, flat rivet head for the countersunk rivets in the middle of the kick strips and a rivet head with a constricted head diameter for the large rivets of the kick strip end pieces. In addition, you will find further rivet heads in our shop for special applications such as riveting emblems, type plates, seat bench plates etc.

The counterpart of the rivet heads, the screwable adjustable punch, still has the chequered waffle pattern like the original Piaggio tools. This allows the look of the new rivet heads to be a first-class reproduction and 100 per cent original. The knurled screws are ergonomically rounded.

Note

• Test fit the treads BEFORE painting, adjust their bend, drill holes if necessary and number them for final assembly later.
• Assembly sequence from the outside to the inside.
• Small spacers (e.g. pieces of wood) ensure 100 % parallelism and equal spacing.
• The treads can be pre-fixed excellently with suitable screw clamps.

Our very own SIP rivet pliers can also be used for the attachment of the legshield Vespa logo as well as the seat and saddle badging with the use of this special riveting head adapter. This job, usually reserved for more practised hands, can now be successfully carried out by the scooters owner.
