Product description

The new M1L cylinder kit moves up the evolution ladder with their already powerfully successful QUATTRINI cylinders. These well known cylinder kits are already icons of performance, features and quality. QUATTRINI has evolved once again, making the Kit the best of the best.

5 transfers and a massive reed valve induction feed the QUATTRINI cylinder, features like additional Boysen ports (secondary intakes direct to the transfers), and an extra large 4-petal reed vavle are simply part of the package. Not to forget the larger auxiliary outlets, a centered cylinder head, as well as Italian name brand quality piston with HQ 1mm piston ring. All QUATTRINI cylinders are of the highest quality workmanship and have an unrivaled finish. QUATTRINI means dependability on the hi tech racing level.

Your crankcase must be modified, but will not need welding at the first tuning level. The QUATTRINI manifold is designed for Vespa V50/PV/ET3 models, if used in Vespa PK models, the frame opening will need additional modification. Exhaust stud distance is 57mm. Some race exhaust systems will need minimal enlargement.

Conclusion: If you're looking for a successful cylinder evolution, this is the one! The "R" in the "M1L- R" cast in the cooling fins stands for Racing and Respect.

Aluminum/ 56mm bore/ 5 transfers/ 125.6ccm/ direct intake

Aluminum cylinder, 51mm stroke, 5 transfers, each side 2 large bridged transfers, direct induction with additional Boysen ports, 4-petal reeds with additional bridging, manifold with integrated stuffer, pistons with HQ 1.0mm piston ring, outlet with 2 additional auxiliary outlets, 8mm exhaust studs, centered cylinder head with sphere shaped milled combustion chamber, includes gasket set and cover panel for casing intake (only two hole).

The motors peripheral parts should be matched to the increased performance and jets should be modified. Fits all Vespa PV/ET3/PK/XL/XL2 models, except PK automatic. The crankcase must be modified to match the larger cylinder transfers.

SIP-TIP: Main jet adjustment and new spark plug are a must. Racing shaft with 20/20 or 24/25mm cone, racing exhaust such as PM40, FRANZ, electronic ignition such as SIP Performance or PARMAKIT, 24-34mm carburettor and Tassinari VForce reed valve part no. 27428000 . For Race, QUATTRINI recommends a 3.00 primary. A longer primary with DRT gear cogs offers additional optimal variation possibilities.

Christoph Maier, aka Stoffi, STOFFI-SIP-Racing Team 2009:

"This cylinder is absolutely the best racing kit. Ginormous. Drives like a POLINI motor: consistent punch in all speed range. Only - it has 4 PS more than the POLINI motor ;-) Guaranteed fun out on the street."

Michi Pesendorfer, STOFFI-SIP Racing Team:

"We put the M1L 09 Kit through the paces 8 1/2 full throttle at the 12 hour race held at the beginning of April 2010 - and stayed at the head of the pack until unfortunately I got a little hefty while shifting gears. This threw the Lima wedge, the ignition timing went off, the cylinder became too hot and gave up. Still, what other cylinder could hold up through 8 1/2 full throttle, crazee!'
