Product description
Racing crankshafts are a simple and effective tuning upgrade for every disc slide valve engine. A racing crankshaft gets higher rpm’s, your engine will be agile and have more pep. Better acceleration and higher top speeds are the result.
A racing crankshaft has noticeably longer intake timing in comparison to an original crankshaft. Your fuel charge will also be greater. The crankwebs are streamlined and polished, turbulence and flow blocks are reduced. The connecting rod is partially a polished edged connecting rod, the lower connecting rod bearing is a silver bearing. All crankshafts are delivered with upper connecting rod bearings.
High quality racing crankshafts from Italian manufacturer MAZZUCCHELLI have minimal production tolerances, lowered bearing play and a very good price/performance ratio. High speeds and absolute durability are a guarantee. We are offering a supplementary finely balanced version. In this version, the connecting rod is balanced at 12 o'clock. This shaft operates impressively quiet.
These racing crankshafts, produced by TAMENI, possess extremely close-fitting, high precision pressed connections. This guarantees sustainable higher revs and also increases its durability.
The race crankshafts produced by PINASCO and JASIL possess polished and gas-flowed crankshaft webs, as well as high-end forged con-rods. Both crankshafts also possess silver-cage big-end bearings. A special feature of these crankshafts are the extra holes and slots provide to ensure adequate lubrication to the bearings at both ends of the con-rod.
Additionally PINASCO produce an even more racing orientated version in the form of the 'Competizione Crankshaft' that comes with many advanced features including more extreme inlet port timings, gas-flowed profiling, tungsten balancing weights and innovative PTFE web inlays to ensure a higher primary compression ratio at low revs. The perfect complement for both road-going and race-orientated set ups!
PINASCO recommend that this crankshaft be used in combination with a lighter flywheel and an electronic ignition system such as the PINASCO Flytech, SIP Performance, PARMAKIT, or the versions produced by MALOSSI or POLINI.
The current insiders favourite is the even better JASIL super racing crankshaft which, along with the aforementioned advantages also possesses beautifully polished and profiled crankshaft webs that provide an inlet port timing of 124°/6° before TDC!
POLINI can also supply a highlight in this array. Their gas-flow profiled crankshaft has an inlet port timing of 141°/6° after TDC. They are excellently manufactured, precision-balanced and convince of their potential with a beautifully gas-flowed and polished (lipped) disc-valve web profile.
Conclusion: This doesn't have to be combined with a tuning cylinder; you'll get a noticeable performance plus when used with your original cylinder.
Racing crankshaft / stroke 57 mm / connecting rod 105-110 mm / 25/24 mm, M12
Racing crankshaft, with Ø 95 mm crankweb (flywheel side), ø 97.9 mm crankweb (disc valve side), partially balanced at 12 o'clock, lower connecting rod bearing = silver bearing, 105mm connecting rod (125/150 cc) or 110 mm connecting rod (200cc), 42mm stroke (T5) or 57mm stroke (PX), oil seal housing 24mm, bearing housing 25mm, stump cone with M12 thread, incl. connecting rod bearing
SIP-TIP: new bearings, crankshaft gasket rings and woodruff key are a must, new gasket set, clutch and fly wheel nut as well. A good complement would be a touring-race cylinder and exhaust system such as SIP Road, the SITO Plus or the SIP Performance. Adjust ignition and jets!
Ralf, SIP man, Germany:
"Ralf (LC Augsburg) went with us on a SIP trip to Italy. His 12PS PX - equipped with a racing crankshaft - was so strong uphill that it almost made the others, who had much stronger engines, cry!
SIP Community user "tcpip", Germany:
"Great workmanship, good price. Good product."
SIP Community user "Free", Germany:
"Very smooth running. Definitely worth its price."
SIP Community user "Free", Germany:
"Runs incredibly quiet, it's worth every penny it costs."
The above mentioned inlet port timings are measured while looking at the crankshaft with the clutch shaft facing away from the person measuring it. For example '138°/6° after Top Dead Centre' (TDC) means the inlet opens at 6° after TDC and remains open for another 138°.
Please consider that the given inlet port timings are not always 100% accurate, due to the fact that these crankshafts being modified by hand!
