In addition to the standard intake manifolds (to match the DELL'ORTO SHB 18.16) the APE driver can also decide on a reed valve manifold from POLINI or MALOSSI. If the disc valve intake area on the engine housing is defective, the intake manifolds matching the DELL‘ORTO SHBC 18.16 and SHBC 19.19 (each with stud connection) present a good opportunity for continuing to drive the engine. The APE 50 is fitted as standard with a 3-hole attachment. As an alternative, however, it is also possible to fit 2-hole intake manifolds. To do this simply detach the third stud.

For all of those who are looking for a generous serving of more power, POLINI also sells intake manifolds that match the DELL’ORTO PHBH 28/30. These are also available in a short version (more powerful as the intake duct itself is shorter). These can only be installed in combination with the strengthened engine mount from POLINI (part no 21401320). Thanks to the rubber connection it is also possible to fit bigger carburettors here without any problem. This gives the worker bee additional zip.

Conclusion: Whether original or tuning ... For the APE 50, there is a suitable intake manifold that suits every purpose.

SIP-TIP: The strengthened engine mount (part no 21401320) provides a secure hold. If you are going to fit a bigger carburettor, order a suitable rubber connection piece at the same time!
