Thanks to modern components the engines of the Vespa Largeframe range have now reached a level of power and torque which pose a huge challenge to every single parts of the engine. The gearbox in particular has often been considered the weak spot in terms of reliability. In addition to that the standard transmission ratios available leave much to be desired. The gear cogs for the mainshaft and complete input shafts made by the Italian tuning legend CRIMAZ are high precision made of the highest quality materials. In addition to that the CRIMAZ gear cogs are lightened with carefully placed and sized holes without compromising strength. Since the gear wheels rotate this loss of weight is not to be sniffed at.

CRIMAZ manufactures the highest quality of gearbox components. We use his gears in a number of our own highly tuned engines. In addition to the gear wheels and input shafts CRIMAZ also makes clutch and primary drive components. Nobody needs to rely on used components with often unknown history if alternatives like these are available.
Cush drive CRIMAZ input shaft
The cush-drive is particularly interesting. It is bolted up, which makes swapping the primary drive very easy. More important still is how it works. First the springs and the toothed construction work with less friction, then the springs have more travel and do not bottom out easily. This reduces load peaks which may damage the gearbox.
