Product description

These SIP PERFORMANCE quick action gear-change pulleys – 'Short Shifter' - represent an optical and technical highlight amongst what is normally a unspectacular part of a steering and control assembly. These items stand out through precision manufacture and are also available in five different colours in a two-tone look! Short shifter mechanisms are used on vehicles equipped with manually operated gear-changes to minimise the operating distances between the gears during selection. This leads to a noticeably quicker and more precise gear selection, eliminating Vespa-typical 'phantom' neutral selection! Vintage Vespa models, produced before the PX range, are only originally equipped with a selection rocker device attached to the end of the gear tube without any form of cable routing. If you wish to fit a PX range motor into one of these older models, the gear-change distance is increased considerably. This leads to imprecise gear selection when operated using the outdated and unguided rocker system. The perfectly profiled and precisely manufactured SIP PERFORMANCE 'Short Shifter' gear selection pulleys integrated cable guides ensure an end to all gear selection problems – Once and for all!

Conclusion : Perfect gear, every time!!

SIP – TIP : Do not forget to order a new gear-change cables (#94120000) and fresh nipples (#15319800) to match, when replacing your gear-change pulley!

'Short Shifter' gear-change pulleys for use with Vespa 50 N/L/R 1°/S 1°/SR 1° (D)/90 1°/R/125/PV 1°/GT/GTR 1°/Super/TS 1°/GL/Sprint/V. 1°/Super 1°/180 Rally/SS models:

This gear-change pulley is suitable for all vintage Vespa models that have the pulleys disc attached externally to the throttle tube with a cotter-pin, and pushed over the end with a central tube assembly. These components are CNC machined from solid billet aluminium with a cable guide diameter of 50mm. Can be fitted 'Plug & Play' to the original gear-change tube and enables an extremely quick operation of all gears. They are fully integrated into the original steering assembly design.

For models with indicators/inner tubes, you have to machine the inner diameter of the pulley.
