Product description
The PIAGGIO Leader, LEM, Quasar, and Master motors (125 – 300cc) possess build tolerances for the seating area of the crankshaft bearing (main bearing). To compensate for the varying dimensions PIAGGIO fitted either a category 1(FC 1) or 2 (FC 2) crankshaft type. If you intend to replace the crankshaft ensure you order the correct type.
SIP-TIP : Do not forget to order new gaskets and shaft oil-seals! Remember to check the old crankshaft for the correct type!
Information : The easiest method to identify the crankshaft included in your motor is to first remove it from the crankcases! There is a number engraved into the bottom of one of the crankshaft webs, such as 04/14*1. '04/14 designates the date of production, the number '1' shows its type. A '1' for category 1 crankshafts (FC_1), a '2' for category 2 crankshafts (FC-2)!
