The SIP Aperitivo for Vespa friends and riders, organised by our small Italian bar SIPERIA, is always very popular and well worth the extra journey. Preferably by Vespa, of course. We always announce the date on our Instagram page or Facebook page a few days in advance, the aperitivos always take place on a Thursday, from 5-8 Clock. Just like in many Aperitivo bars in Italy, you get a small snack with your drink. And lots of nice people, most of them scooter mad or Italy fans. Or both. And music, of course.
The next Aperitivo for Vespa friends will take place on Thursday 19 September 2024!
We look forward to seeing you at our SIP Scootershop in Landsberg! Next door we offer performance measurements of your scooter for little money. See below!

SIP Dyno Test OPEN DYNO
Performance measurement for all scooters up to 100 hp, on our calibrated Amerschläger P4 test bench. We offer you 5 different options to put your scooter through its paces on our test bench:
a) Rear wheel power measurement (M gem): How much horsepower does your scooter really have? Finally, willy-nilly fencing with convincing arguments! You will receive the performance diagram as a coloured printout (€ 1 run 35 incl. warm-up)
https://www.sip-scootershop.com/.../prufstandslauf...
b) Exhaust test from our extensive exhaust archive: You don't want to buy a pig in a poke but want to know the performance curve in advance? We have box exhaust systems for many models and from different manufacturers on site for you to try out. Before/after measurement (2 runs) incl. warm-up € 60. The price for the performance measurement will be credited to you if you buy an Exhaust from us ex Bearing on the same day!

c) Crankshaft performance measurement (M standard): For entry in the vehicle documents. Our diagrams are recognised by all known testing organisations on behalf of the KBA. Our test bench measures with high precision and is recalibrated at regular intervals (last time May 2024). The current calibration certificate is displayed in the test bench room. (Dyno Test with relevant entries, official printout, Cover and on request sending of the diagram as PDF á 69 €).

d) Checking the carburettor setting with our Lambda Sensor: We determine the exhaust gas values of your Engine at different throttle slide strokes (full load / partial load...). This is displayed graphically as a curve of the lambda value (rich - lean) under the power curve. We interpret the curves together and give you tips for tuning the Engine. (Initial measurement with power determination, min. 3 runs with Lambda Sensor, printouts and PDF's as required, first measurement 125 €; each additional measurement on the same day (e.g. after adjusting the jetting) 75 €).

e) Free riding on the test bench, e.g. to optimise Ignition performance, try out timing or other tests. Including diagrams as printout or PDF. (225 € per hour / availability by arrangement only).
Due to the calibration, our test bench is highly accurate and is officially recognised as an external test laboratory by the GTÜ, for example. The measured values can be used for tuning or for registration in the vehicle documents. The rear wheel power (absolute power) or the engine power according to DIN / EC (required for TÜV registration up to 1997 / from 1997) is measured.

No registration is required because we can test ride into the evening, i.e. as long as necessary. The prerequisite for participation is a running Engine and timely presence at the appointment. Please ensure that there are no sharp edges or potential hazards on the vehicle, that the Flywheel Cover is in place, that it is fully fuelled and that there are no live, bare Wires, for example... A notepad(https://www.sip-scootershop.com/de/account/notepads) with the components installed on the vehicle in the SIP web shop makes the work of the test bench personnel easier. The following data is requested (please prepare):
- chassis number,
- cylinder manufacturer, type and bore diameter, timing if applicable
- Crankshaft manufacturer, stroke, connecting rod length if applicable, design
- Carburettor, manufacturer, type and tuning elements: Main Jet, Idle Jet, Mixer Tube, Throttle Slide, main air correction if applicable, secondary air correction etc.
- Exhaust system, manufacturer and designation, labelling if applicable
The performance diagram may be anonymised and published by SIP.
