Overview

The Vespa GTS 125 was first introduced in 2005. This model represented a significant step in the evolution of the Vespa, offering greater performance as well as more comfort and functionality compared to the earlier models. With the GTS model, Vespa pursued the strategy of combining the traditional charm of the brand with modern technology and performance. The Vespa GTS differs from its predecessor, the Vespa GT, mainly due to the modified Engines and several design changes, including an additional Parking Light integrated into the Horn Cover at the front, a fin on the front Mudguard, a chrome Luggage Carrier, an ergonomically designed Seat, sporty moulded plastic trim and a differently designed Rear Light.

Model history

For many years, there were only minor changes to the Vespa GTS 125 models. It was not until 2023 that the GTS Super, Super Tech and Super Sport underwent radical changes. The Vespa GTS 125 from 2023 is characterised by its comfort, precision and riding stability, which is ensured by 12-inch aluminium alloy wheels. The black rims, emphasised by Diamond Cut and a refined finish, create a visual highlight in combination with the glossy paintwork. To ensure safe stops, two hydraulic brakes with 220 mm Brake Discs and 2-channel ABS are installed. An additional level of safety is provided by ASR, the traction control system. In terms of environmental friendliness and efficiency, the Vespa GTS Super 125 scores points with an automatic start-stop system that can be switched off. The liquid-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke engine of the Vespa GTS Super 125 uses state-of-the-art petrol injection technology to deliver optimum performance. The Engine delivers 10.3 kW or 14 hp in this Model.

Equipped with an exclusive 4.3-inch TFT colour display, the Vespa GTS Super Tech provides instant and easy-to-read riding information. The Vespa MIA package, which comes as standard on this Model, enables a seamless connection between smartphone and scooter and unlocks functions that further enhance the riding experience. A GPS navigator is also included in the scope of delivery. The Vespa GTS and GTS Super can be retrofitted with the Vespa MIA connectivity system.
