The new Vespa GTS 310 combines classic design with modern technology and should set new standards in the premium scooter segment. With a revised Engine, state-of-the-art equipment and a wide range of colours, it is suitable for both city rides and longer tours. Its elegant appearance remains true to the traditional Vespa aesthetic.
The Vespa GTS series has been synonymous with style and performance since its launch. The GTS 310 continues this tradition and marks an important step in the further development of the model series. With its new Engine, it is, according to Piaggio, "the most powerful GTS ever", developed for riders who appreciate style and dynamics in equal measure. Its predecessors, such as the GTS 300, have already achieved cult status, and the GTS 310 builds on this riding experience.
The Vespa GTS 310 is the latest model variant from Piaggio and stands out above all with its revised Engine. With a displacement of 309 cc, it has around 31 cc more than its predecessor, the GTS 300, and offers slightly more power and torque, although this is hardly noticeable when it comes to acceleration and top speed. The liquid-cooled Engine was developed to fulfil the Euro E 5+ emissions standard while ensuring high efficiency and low consumption.
Visually, there are hardly any differences between the GTS 310 and the GTS 300. The design, chassis and brakes remain unchanged, as the chassis was already optimised in 2023. One welcome innovation concerns the controls: The switches now come in matt black casings , which was previously only possible by retrofitting. These switches are also compatible with the GTS 300, which is particularly interesting for owners of the previous model. Other details such as rims, levers and mirrors remain identical and are also compatible between the two models.
The main difference lies in the Engine: The GTS 310 has a stroke lengthened to 70.1 mm, while the bore remains unchanged at 75 mm. According to the manufacturer, the power output increases from 23.8 hp to 25 hp, and the torque increases from 26 Nm to 28.9 Nm - the latter at a lower speed of 6,500 rpm, which promises more pulling power.
However, a differentiated picture emerges on the test bench. At 21.4 hp, the measured rear wheel power of the GTS 310 is almost identical to that of the GTS 300 (21.5 hp). The difference only becomes clear at higher speeds: while the GTS 300 loses power from around 60 km/h, the GTS 310 remains stable. There is a slight change in the top speed, as the new version is electronically limited a little earlier.
The Vespa GTS 310 is a relatively new model and therefore hard to find on the used market. Where do you look for this vehicle?
