The Vespa 90 Racer was produced as the successor model to the legendary Vespa 90 SuperSprint from 1971 to 1974 in a limited edition of just 3515 units.
In the general hype that has surrounded the Super Sprint in recent years, the actually much rarer scooter has hardly attracted any attention, which is probably due to its inconspicuous appearance. The bodywork was identical to that of the Vespa 125 Primavera apart from the missing Glovebox. Only small details such as the Badge on the Legshield, the Sticker on the rear and the distinctive Exhaust labelled the Racer as such.
The Engine was identical to that of the Vespa 90 SS, but bore the engine number V9SS2M.
