The Primavera ET3, short for Elettronica 3 Travasi, was launched in 1976 as an extension of the Vespa 125 Primavera series. Its characteristic feature is a third transfer duct, which increases engine performance. In addition, an electronic Ignition was introduced to ensure reliability. Another striking feature is the new Exhaust, known as the "ET3 banana", which further enhances the design and performance of the vehicle. Among the 125cc models, this Vespa is the fastest.
The first model in this Vespa series was presented in a Jeans blue colour to match the Seat Cover, which was made from a jeans-like synthetic leather fabric. Similar to the Rally 200, light blue adhesive strips were attached to the rear right and left mudguard areas. The red Badge "Electronic" was emblazoned on the left rear side of the vehicle. Another feature of this Model was the revised Seat, which was both extended and designed for greater comfort. A practical bag hook was also attached to the front of the Seat. Until 1980, the model was equipped with a Speedometer with a scale up to 120 km/h. The design of the ET3 speedometer is also interesting, made entirely of plastic and without the traditional Chrome Ring.
The ET3's Engine is a further development of the previous model, with some significant changes. One of the most striking innovations is the introduction of a third transfer port. The Ignition has been converted to an electronic system, which ensures improved engine performance. The compression ratio was raised from 8.2 in the previous model to 9.5. This adjustment required a change in the advance of the ignition timing from 25° to 20°. The Main Jet was also increased from 74 to 76. The newly introduced Silencer, a black matt Exhaust, is reminiscent of that of the 90 SS. These modifications made it possible to increase the power to over 7 hp at 6,000 rpm and reach a top speed of 98 km/h without increasing the revs.
