The Vespa 125 Primavera was produced between 1967 and 1983 and a total of 220,329 units were manufactured. Compared to its predecessor, the Vespa 125 Nuovathe 125 Primavera had a longer frame and a narrower Legshield. Both the speedometer and the Emblem at the front feature a hexagonal logo. A slight modification has been made to the Handlebar of the Primavera, which means that the top is no longer as curved as on its predecessor model.
The Vespa 125 Primavera was manufactured in three different series, each with its own characteristic features:
The lettering on the bodywork runs at an angle.
The Rear Light is small and painted in the same colour as the bodywork.
The Grips are grey.
There is no side flap on the left-hand side of the Scandinavian models. To reduce the weight, a smaller tank (2.5 litres) was fitted and an additional Strut, similar to the Vespa 50 Sprinter, was installed. This version is a rather rare and exotic model.
The lettering on the bodywork runs horizontally.
The Rear Light is small and painted in the same colour as the bodywork.
The Grips are black and in a different colour.
The lettering on the bodywork runs horizontally.
The Rear Light is larger (identical to that of the Vespa 125 Primavera ET3).
The speedometer has a black Face Plate.
Compared to the Vespa 125 Nuova model, the engine performance has been significantly increased. The compression ratio was increased from 7.2 to 8.25, resulting in an output of 5.56 hp at 5,500 rpm, an increase of 1 hp with a speed increase of 1,000 rpm. A Dellorto SHB 19/19 Carburettor was also installed. These improvements had a positive effect on acceleration and the top speed, which is now over 90 km/h.
