Overview NIU

The Chinese company is fully committed to e-mobility. Its portfolio includes E-Scooters, electric motorbikes and electric scooters. NIU scooters combine stylish design with good performance. They are equipped with a Panasonic lithium-ion battery pack that can be conveniently charged at any household socket. The innovative EBS system also contributes to energy efficiency by recovering energy during each braking process, extending the range of the scooter by around 7%.

The vehicles are also equipped with state-of-the-art safety features: Integrated GPS tracking immediately detects any unauthorised movement and sends a warning message to the NIU Cloud. The owner immediately receives a notification about the potential risk of theft and the current location of the scooter.

NIU model history

The Austrian KSR Group manages the brand: the NIU UQi GT, NIU MQi+, NIU NQi Sport, NIU NQi GT/GTS and NIU NQi Cargo series are currently available. The scooters have different batteries, performance and ranges.

The future of the brand is currently (October 2023) up in the air. The KSR Group had to file for insolvency in September 2023.
