

BENZHOU Vehicle Industry Group Co., Ltd. was founded on 20 May 1997 and was based in Taizhou (Zhejiang), People's Republic of China. It produced around 200,000 motorbikes and scooters with an engine capacity of 50 to 150 cc, 300,000 engines and 150,000 electric vehicles per year. Production was carried out in accordance with the ISO 9001 industry standard.
The vehicles also found customers in Germany, where they were marketed under various brand names and designations, including Hurrican X1 and X2. In Germany, BENZHOU vehicles were also known as JackFox and Rex. The German general importer, Jack Fox, based in Eppingen, had to file for insolvency in 2009.
