Overview BAOTIAN
BAOTIAN, a Chinese vehicle manufacturer, has been producing scooters, quads and motorbikes in the 50 to 150 cc range since 1994. Its products now meet a quality standard that is comparable with European manufacturers. In Germany, BAOTIAN began selling scooters through Catalogues such as Otto and Baur. Whilst there are many model names, many actually belong to BAOTIAN or other Chinese manufacturers such as Benzhou, Jinlun and Quingqi. Despite initial difficulties in the supply of spare parts, companies have now specialised in supplying spare parts for BAOTIAN and other imported vehicles from China.
BAOTIAN model history
The best-known BAOTIAN model in Germany is the BT50QT-9 (later BT49QT-9 Sprint), a licence replica of the Taiwanese Kymco Filly 50. Popular models include the BT49QT-12A1 Rebel and BT49QT-11 Retro. All are equipped with an Engine based on the Honda GY6 125.
