
Racing crankshafts - Special
for Vespa & Lambretta
Bigger and bigger, more and more powerful, faster and faster. With the original engine casings, there is a limit at some point. If the cylinder base becomes larger than the engine case allows, you can only get further with complex welding work. The crankcase limits the diameter and stroke of the crankshafts. Bearings and axle mounts reach their limits. It is therefore very pleasing that some tuning smiths do not let themselves be limited by this and have developed reinforced engine cases. Most engine parts can be used from the original cases. Larger cylinders and matching crankshafts often come from the manufacturer of the engine cases.
