Basically, we now distinguish between five engines in the Modern Vespa Largeframe range: the old ET4 engine, the retired LEADER engine, which was replaced by the economical LEM 3-valve engine in 2012, and the powerful QUASAR engine. Since around mid-2016, the Euro4-compliant iGet engine (= Italian Green Experience Technology) has been used in the air-cooled Primavera/Sprint models, and from 2017 this will also power the water-cooled version of the GTS 125 cc models.
