Visors are probably similar to goggles: They round off the purchase of a helmet and decide on the final look. But of course they also have important tasks: they keep out the evil UV light and should not obstruct the view in damp conditions. They are usually combined with jet helmets, full-face helmets and flip-up helmets. They are easy to replace and the trend is towards second visors.
