Conversion kits: Suspension for Lambretta - at SIP Scootershop
Even though Lambrettas don't have the variety of conversion kits as Vespas, something can be improved with different rims: the handling. We have launched two tubeless rims under the SIP Performance label that allow wide tyres to be used. This makes burst inner tubes a thing of the past. Even a valve rupture or a plate caused by the inner tube getting stuck are ruled out.

The possibilities for conversion are limited for Lambrettas. However, it is possible to fit tyres up to a size of 120 mm on Lamis. SIP Performance offers two different rims that fit the following Lambretta models:

Conversion to 10" 100-120 mm front & rear
Some Lambrettas can also be converted to wider tyres using SIP Performance tubeless rims. The rims are available in two different versions and tyres up to 110 mm wide can be fitted. 120 mm wide tyres are also possible. However, this may require adjustments to one or the other component, only suitable for experienced mechanics.

"Do I have to use four or eight wheel bolts?"
The rim of the Lambretta is originally fitted with four studs. For the rear wheel, however, brake drums with eight wheel bolts can be fitted. These are designed to provide greater strength. We offer Lambretta rims that can be mounted on either four or eight bolts.
