- for e-bikes/pedelecs with PANASONIC motor
PANASONIC - AHEAD OF ITS TIME
PANASONIC - The large Japanese conglomerate entered the e-bike business back in 1996 and was thus ahead of its time. The pedelecs with a 26-volt drive became bestsellers. It took until 2012 for PANASONIC to return to the now revitalised market with a 36-volt motor. The X series was convincing and in 2016 PANASONIC came up with an innovation: The so-called "Multi Speed Assist System" was installed in the X-drive, an internal 2-speed gearbox for a more efficient transmission. Also available for S-pedelecs with 45 km/h. The G-drives have been on the market since 2020.
WHICH PANASONIC MOTORS ARE THERE AND WHICH ONE DO I HAVE?
The name of the motor manufacturer is usually on the housing of the drive or in the enclosed data sheet. PANASONIC motors can easily be divided into three groups. The old 26/36 volt series was followed by the X series. Since 2020, the G drives have been on the market, some of which are also available for S-pedelecs. At SIP Scootershop, we offer the Badass Box 4 for all motors, but please note that this only makes pedelecs up to 25 km/h faster.
The following list shows you which modules we offer at SIP Scootershop for PANASONIC motors:
E-bike and pedelec tuning from Lower Franconia. The so-called Badass Box is not installed on the motor, but simply attached from the outside and works with all PANASONIC motors. Version 4 is the latest model and offers a range of over 7,000 kilometres.
The manufacturer from the Czech Republic has gained experience with the production of tuning chips since 2014. Its modules are installed directly on the engine and are suitable for PANASONIC engines.
The Czech manufacturer builds tuning modules for the engines of many well-known manufacturers. They are characterised by clever functions such as a chip lock or the "Still On" mode. These interesting modules are also available for some PANASONIC engines.
WHICH PANASONIC VARIANTS ARE AVAILABLE FOR IMPULSE DRIVES?
At SIP Scootershop we offer the following tuning modules for PANASONIC motors:
These small boxes are plugged onto the sensor of the bike or pedelec and now this tool halves the transmitted speed, doubling the motor support. It is a wireless device that can be removed again in no time. The manufacturer Badass is the market leader here.
