VOLspeed- VOLspeed is a brand of the company TLI Elektronik GmbH from Ehekirchen in Upper Bavaria. Since 2017, the main business field has been the production of measurement technology for industry. TLI produces rather exotic devices, such as misfire diagnostic devices for gas engines or stroboscopic lamps with camera system for ignition timing. Since 2018, however, managing director Tobias Lindermayr has also discovered e-bike tuning for his company and is bringing extremely interesting and powerful tuning modules to the market under the name VOLspeed. TLI is currently concentrating on motors from Yamaha and Bosch.

VOLspeed - the special trick
VOLspeed tuning modules are installed directly on the mid-engine and are not visible from the outside. No cables have to be changed or damaged, the plug connections are clearly recognisable and quite easy to handle. However, no PC or smartphone is required for configuration and commissioning, all settings are conveniently made via the respective display. The possibility to set the speed limit, the control behaviour and the wheel circumference via the display is also unique on the market. In this way, the level of maximum motor assistance can be set to an individual value of between 25 and 99 km/h. And last but not least, the entire tuning can be switched off at any time via the e-bike's display.
Since the V4 series, for all Bosch motors from 2014 to 2021, the speed can only be set to 45 km/h, but there is no longer the annoying "504 Error".
Another exciting feature is the "dynamic mode", which affects the so-called wall effect: When the maximum supported speed is reached, the motor support suddenly stops. Thanks to the dynamic mode, the driving experience is made considerably more pleasant.
