Quality Control at SIP Scootershop

Created by Jenni at 14:04 on April 4, 2019

Nothing annoys us and our customers more than poor quality, lack of fit or disappointing material. Since a high quality standard does not fall from the sky we do quite some effort for our own productions, already in the construction but also when the ready goods arrive at us in the warehouse.

We check in several stages, a) at the manufacturer, b) at our incoming goods department, c)  in our technical department. For high-precision measurements, we rely on external partners.

In this case, the technical department has dry-built all neighboring parts in a SIP engine case and checked the fits and the function e.g. the kickstart shaft, the clutch cover, the shift shaft, etc. Among other things, we measure the shaft spacing, the location and size of the lockring grooves, measure the flatness of the sealing surfaces, etc. All threads are tested and partially tested.

The highlight of the test procedure is the measurement of the complete case on a 3D measuring machine with a digital test protocol and / or built up and continuous operation of complete engines.

All testes casings from the "Goods Receipt" and "Technical" examinations receive the "SIP Quality Control" stickers, and we retain individual samples in our archive.
