Why the movie "The Greatest Gift" touched us

"Please, thank you" were the only words a waiter could say proudly in German when we last visited Malossi in Bologna, Italy. "Please, thank you, sorry" are, according to Pope Francis, the most important words for a good life together in the family. We find that also applies to us within the SIP family, among all SIP employees, in dealing with you as a customer or supplier.

Since saying "sorry" is very difficult, we liked the idea of a Spanish director to make this in a movie on the subject. We have participated in this film in its crowdfunding and wish the team and director Juan Manuel Cotelo success in distribution. The previous films by Juan were already very good. "The greatest gift" will certainly be great too.

Here is more information about the film:

"THE GREATEST GIFT" is a very special film about forgiveness. It breaks the normal conceptions of a documentary film. Deeply touching and at the same time humorously and intelligently packaged in an entertaining story, the film shows by taking real stories that forgiveness can end any conflict: Tim Guénard, a former boxing champion in France who gives his parents a terrible childhood, Irene Villa, an ETA victim from Spain, who forgave the bombers who lost both their legs, Shane O'Doherty of Northern Ireland, the only IRA terrorist who has asked his victims for forgiveness, former paramilitaries from Colombia who have hundreds and thousands of lives on their conscience and ask for forgiveness, perpetrators and victims of the genocide in Rwanda, who today live together like brothers and sisters, the story of a failed and happy marriage from Mexico ... the building-up power of forgiveness knows no bounds.

Director Juan Manuel Cotelo wants THE GREATEST GIFT to truly be a gift for many, many people, and invite them to forgive themselves and ask for forgiveness. Forgiveness is the greatest and most courageous gift we can give each other. It makes life over death new.

THE GREATEST GIFT was funded with the help of a very successful international crowdfunding. THE GREATEST GIFT has been running in Austria since January 2019 and will be screened in cinemas from autumn 2019 in Germany and Switzerland.
