Vespa Parade Paris September 2018

The "Vespa Club Ile-de-France" was founded in June 2015 as the successor to the "Vespa Club Paris75" and organised its first Vespa Parade in Paris in September 2015.
VESPA PARADE PARIS 2018: MORE THAN 180 VESPAS IN THE STREETS OF PARIS!
On Saturday 15 September 2018, the Vespa Club Paris Ile-de-France took part in this year's Vespa Parade in Paris at the invitation of the Vespa Club de France and our sponsor La Clinique du Scooter. In bright sunshine and after 3 very successful events in the last 3 years, more than 180 Vespas and twice as many scooter fans came to the "MotoPlex Clinique du Scooter" on Boulevard de l'Hopital in Paris on Saturday morning. There was a small free breakfast for all participants.

A range of magnificent scooters, from the oldest model from 1946 to the latest "modern" models were parked there. With the variety of licence plates, it was obvious that the scooterists came not only from Paris and its suburbs but also from the rest of France as well as Belgium and the UK. Each year this event has grown, starting with 60 scooters in 2015 to 110 in 2016 and 150 last year.
Little by little, the participants rolled in, admired by many passers-by. It was also possible to become a member of the "Vespa Club de Paris Ile-de-France" on the spot and receive a Bag from our sponsors. Each participant automatically took part in a raffle that was to take place after the Corso. It consisted of numerous prizes donated by many sponsors who had generously supported the event: Piaggio / Vespa France, SIP-Scootershop, Tucano Urbano, WheelSecure, Vulcanet, Belstaff, Helmet Helmet, Three-Stroke, Scootering Magazine, Wild Magazine. 180 Vespas and Lambrettas rolled off along the Parisian boulevards, the left bank of the Seine, the right bank of the Seine and onto the "Ile de la Cité ". A group photo was taken in front of the Invalides Cathedral and, of course, on the quay in front of the Eiffel Tower. Tourists and Parisians alike were delighted with this colourful group on this "French Heritage Day".

We then wound our way back along the Seine and finally parked our Vespas in front of the small boat bar "Le Bal de la Marine", which is moored right next to the Eiffel Tower. Here, the participating scooter riders were able to fortify themselves with a meal and the draw for the raffle was organised to determine the lucky winners of around 60 prizes.
Once again, the Vespa Parade Paris was a great event. Vespa scooters are a part of Paris, whether old or new, small or powerful Engines.
