Vespa fahren ab 15 Jahren

In some federal states, the driving licence category AM (moped driving licence, 50cc licence) can now be obtained from the age of 15. The model project for this is called "Moped at 15" and applies in the federal states of Bavaria, Brandenburg, Hesse, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Schleswig-Holstein and Thuringia.

  • each federal state decides for itself whether to implement the new regulation
  • Driving licence only valid in the respective federal state, from the age of 15

Class AM driving licence not valid in other federal states

Young people as young as 15 years of age who drive mopeds, mopeds and four-wheeled light motor vehicles up to 45 km/h in category AM must observe the following: Anyone who drives a category AM vehicle outside these federal statesbefore the age of 16 commits an offence of driving without a licence.

Improved mobility for young people

Until now, 15-year-olds could only obtain a moped test certificate. Whether in the countryside or in the city, young people in particular have a considerable need for mobility, which the new category AM driving licence from the age of 15 now meets better, at least in some federal states. However, a uniform nationwide regulation would be desirable; perhaps the remaining federal states will manage to harmonise their regulations.

Interesting Vespa models with 50cc

Are you about to turn 15 or are you already 15 years old? Would you like to get your class AM driving licence? All right, now comes the question of which Vespa model is right for you. First of all, you need to clarify one basic question: classic Switch Vespa or modern automatic Vespa.

A classic Switch Ves pa is only available second-hand, these models have not been built for several years. However, the market is huge, the prices are quite high as the vehicles are extremely popular, but once the purchase price has been paid, the value remains very stable. The classic Vespa is shifted with the left hand and has 3 or 4 gears. The technology is simple and you can carry out many repairs yourself. The range of Replacement Parts and spare parts is huge.

A modern Vespa (Modern Vespa) has a Variomatic and shifts continuously. There is no need to clutch or switch gears, so you can concentrate fully on braking, accelerating and steering. With the Vespa Primavera and the Vespa Sprint, there are attractive models in trendy colours and a huge range of replacement parts for customisation.

The right protective clothing

It's best to buy the right protective clothing, i.e. a Helmet, Gloves, Jacket with protectors, Kidney Belt, Shoes with protectors and, if necessary, Kevlar Jeans before you start driving school. This way you avoid having to put on the smelly hire gear. We have an extensive range of protective clothing for the two-wheeler driving licence, which we present in this blog.
