Vesbeachi 2024 - Meeting for Vespa, Lambretta, Schwalbe and more!
Vesbeachi 2024 - the open-brand Tin Scooter meeting on the beach has become an integral part of the Tin Scooter scene over the past four years and is now a kind of festival for all Vespa, Lambretta, Schwalbe and other cult Tin Scooter enthusiasts. Naturally, we at SIP Scootershop are happy to be involved as a sponsor and are delighted that this meeting in Rastede has developed so fantastically. The organiser, Jelto Gerdes, has created the Vesbeachi 2024 an event that will hopefully be around for many years to come. Jelto has also provided us with a report and lots of photos. Thank you very much!
1.000 Vespa and Lambretta fans on the beach
Jelto tells us: On Friday 20 September, we started with the campfire romance on the beach. Petrol talks, music, a dynamometer and a cold drink or two ensured a relaxed atmosphere with around 450 participants in the best weather.
On Saturday, 21 September, the main day began with a short trip to the North Sea, organised by Blechkultur Oldenburg.
From 11:00 Clock it was then: "Beach open!"
Visitors were able to drive their old sheet metal directly onto the beach - the ideal photo opportunity.
Throughout the day, it was possible to test the performance on a P4 dynamometer, get cold drinks or something from the Grill. A custom show invited visitors to marvel: More than 25 custom Tin Scooters from a wide range of brands were on display in an area set aside especially for the custom show, and a small dealer's mile invited visitors to browse.
The beach track race started at 14:00 Clock with 40 participants, most of whom had built a beach track scooter especially for this event. the aim was to race 50 metres in a 1-on-1 best-of-three knock-out. Sounds easy? But it's not - top performances are required here! The Vespa Sport Club was in charge of organising the beach track race.
In the end, the winner was Julius from VTC Kempen, second place went to Guido, also from VTC Kempen, and third place to Timo from Blechgefährten.
In addition to the scooters from the Customshow, individual scooters from visitors were also awarded trophies in various categories.
In the end, more than 1,000 visitors found their way to the beach for the 4th Vesbeachi - the majority of whom had travelled to the event by scooter themselves.
The day ended with the E.E.A.T.T., the Early Evening Against The Time, a race against time on the beach track, as well as a party in the evening.
