SIP Scootershop CORONA Company Holidays
Even in the tranquil Landsberg am Lech district, home of the SIP Scootershop headquarters, the number of cases of Covid19 positively tested remains high. On Monday 7 December 2020 the incidence value of reported cases per 100,000 inhabitants was 173 (source: RKI Dashboard). Over the Christmas holidays, many members of our team will be meeting in the families - on the one hand a wonderful tradition, on the other hand certainly a major driver of the infection incidence.
The politicians and virologists are therefore calling for company holidays to be organised after Christmas. With only 3 working days (28./29./30. december 2020), all employees will get 11 days off. This is a full quarantine period plus a safety day. With comparatively small restrictions, this could be a big step in the fight against the pandemic. In this way, we can prevent chains of infection from the families into our company with little effort and protect our employees: inside and their families. In this way we want to effectively implement the #stayathome principle.

FAQ
Can I order as usual? Will my SIP package be delivered?
We will continue processing your orders on January 4th, 2021. Our logistics department has already taken measures such as packing, picking and working time extensions in order to send the incoming orders ASAP after the SIP company holydays. As soon as your package has been sent, you will be informed by email. Thank you for your patience.
Is it still possible to return packages?
Yes, returns are still possible. Due to the current situation, we have extended the return period to 60 days. In addition, shipments are collected and delivered to us after our company holidays.
Is it safe to order products from SIP and have them delivered to my home?
According to current information from the Robert Koch Institute and the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment, transmission of the coronavirus through products and shipments is unlikely.
Is it possible to reduce contact with the driver during parcel delivery?
DHL has already adjusted the delivery process until further notice. For shipments you receive at home, this means that you do not need to sign and instead document the successful delivery of your shipment by the deliverer. The deliverer will continue to ring and only then will confirm the delivery of the shipment. If you are not at home, your package will be forwarded to a nearby post office or a DHL parcel shop. Post offices and DHL parcel shops are still open. At the moment, however, opening times may change occasionally. If you choose a storage location for your shipment with DHL or use the Service packing station, you provide contactless parcel receipt.
