From 20 Clock QUADROPHENIA in the theatre cinema

"Quadrophenia" is a British feature film from 1979, based on the 1973 concept album of the same name by the rock band The Who. The film tells the story of Jimmy, a British teenager who is looking for a way out of his monotonous and hopeless life. In the early 60s, the Who, the Beatles and the Rolling Stones are the defining music groups for youth culture. Jimmy belongs to the Mods, a group characterised by their eye-catching hairstyles and souped-up scooters. The Mods are in constant feud with the Rockers. When a brawl breaks out between the two groups, Jimmy finds himself in a conflict of conscience because his friends beat up a former mate who now belongs to the rockers. Jimmy gradually realises that, as part of a group that defines itself mainly through fashion, he has neither the individuality nor the freedom he is looking for.
