From Kuwait to SIP Scootershop in Germany - on a Vespa
It is a Vespa journey that not only pushes the boundaries of countries, but also the boundaries of what is possible. Fahad Almutawa, the 38-year-old President of the Vespa Club Kuwait, has embarked on a remarkable tour from Kuwait City to Germany - on his yellow Vespa GTS 300. Almutawa, who manages a hydroelectric power station in Kuwait and has a passionate connection to Vespa culture, has drawn attention to himself with his journey.
The Vespa Club Kuwait, which has around 100 active members, supported Fahad's project from the very beginning. The adventurous Vespa tour began around four weeks ago. From Kuwait City, the route on his yellow GTS 300 took him via Baghdad, Erbil, Istanbul, Sofia, Sarajevo, Zagreb, Trieste, Innsbruck and the Brenner Pass to Landsberg am Lech - to the headquarters of SIP Scootershop, the world market leader for Vespa spare parts and Replacement Parts.
The route: from Kuwait to Landsberg am Lech
To the heartland of Vespa enthusiasts in Landsberg am Lech
The decision in favour of SIP Scootershop as the destination of his trip was clear to Fahad: "I wanted to visit the place that is considered the heart of Vespa enthusiasts worldwide." When he arrived at SIP Scootershop, Almutawa received a warm welcome. In addition to lunch in the "Siperia", the Italian bar in the SIP Scootershop flagship store, he signed the guest book and had the opportunity to speak to co-founder and CEO Ralf Jodl. A short factory tour and petrol talk followed.

However, the journey is not over yet. Fahad plans to continue his tour via Austria and Switzerland to attend the World Vespa Meeting in Pontedera, Italy, next weekend. This meeting takes place right in the historic Vespa factory and is a must for every Vespa lover.
So far, the entire tour has been accident-free, and Fahad is confident that it will stay that way. "Inshallah," he adds, an expression of hope and faith. The reunion is already planned: In a fortnight' time, he will be on his way to Frankfurt to meet more Vespa friends and enthusiasts.
Fahad's journey is an impressive example of the passion and commitment of the Vespa community worldwide. It shows how deep the love for these iconic scooters can go and how it connects people across borders.
