European Vespisti Week 2025: Novi Sad, Serbia

Created by Dietrich Limper at 13:02 on February 28, 2025

As the name suggests, the "Vespa Savez Srbije - Vespa Club Serbia" brings together lovers of the legendary Vespa - an urban icon and a symbol on the world's roads for over seven decades. In the early 2000s, enthusiasts in Serbia began organising rides and founding clubs. However, the year 2010 is considered a milestone, as it was at this time that the first clubs of today's Vespa Club Serbia started operating. It was particularly significant because the first meetings of newly founded Vespa clubs took place in several Serbian cities and at the same time the international appearance at the Vespa World Days (VWD) 2010 in Fátima (Portugal) and participation in national meetings in Croatia (2010) and Greece (2011) took place.

Although the Vespa Club Serbia (VCS) is still comparatively young, its membership is characterised by people of different profiles and professions who pursue progressive ideas and visions in several cities across the country. The VCS currently has over 100 full members, organised into six clubs. The central event around the Vespa clubs in Serbia is an annual national meeting in June, known as "Serbian Vespa Days". The members of the VCS are regular guests at all regional Vespa meetings throughout the Balkans and south-east Europe, participate in the VWD and are also planning to take part in the first edition of the "European Vespisti Week 2024" in Montegrotto Terme (Italy).

The European Vespisti Week 2025 event is planned for four days in Novi Sad in the "Creative District" - the former "Kinseka neighbourhood". This is located directly on the Danube, next to the city's "beach" and just ten minutes from the city centre.

The area is to include an enclosed Vespa village with two stages and a musical programme, an area for quick Vespa services, a section with local gastronomic specialities, tastings and the sale of drinks, as well as an area for the sale of parts, equipment and promotional materials. This will be complemented by a Vespa museum, artworks and photographs by local artists on the theme of the EVW meeting, accompanied by numerous other surprises awaiting visitors.

The event website contains a wealth of information to make your visit easier: a comprehensive FAQ, tips for travelling to the event, various ideas for tours and, of course, registration, although this has not yet been activated.
