Custom Creations: Mike Betz
Anyone interested in the German scooter scene will come across the name "Mike Betz" at some point. The busy man is, for example, the founder of the "German Scooter Forum", where around 70,000 experts, and those who want to be or think they are, cavort. This is where they decide what the latest stuff for Vespa or Lambretta is worth. But Mike not only keeps this shop running, he has been celebrating success with his amateur racing team "Team Germany #111" for many years. He has triumphed four times with his mates at the legendary endurance race "VTR24H Zuera". That's the lonely top.
Quattrini, Hartz4, SIP Vape

In this video, Mike shows us the SIP-sponsored scooter he uses to hit the track for 24 hours in the heat and dark. Of course, this Vespa doesn't have much in common with a conventional two-wheeler, but it's all the more fascinating what you can conjure up out of this cosy means of transport. Powered by an M200 Quattrini Engine with Hartz4 Clutch and SIP Vape Ignition, the machine chases the track at up to 130 km/h. On the scooter, the riders are alone, but thanks to state-of-the-art communication systems, they are in constant contact with their box, where data is read out and analysed in real time.
The latest highlight, however, is the onboard camera that can send live images to every living room on the planet. Satellite technology makes it possible. This is how the last 24-hour race from Zaragoza in Spain could be followed on the SIP Scootershop YouTube channel. Unfortunately, it was only enough for second place this year, which Mike and his team can be justifiably proud of.
