  • Re: P80X upgrade?

Remember to use a slightly colder plug like B8HS and set the gap to 0.55-0.6mm , check the colour of the electrode regularly when breaking in the new kit.

Ok go with a 4 plate Surflex or DR clutch kit , it'll come with steels , cork plates and uprated springs art no 93090000 If you want the looks then the exhaust you like is ok but it will not perform any better than the one you already have, if you want a standard look but improved performance then art no 23000000 is just perfect. The Malossi kit

The 21 tooth clutch will raise your gear ratio so you will have a little less acceleration but more top end speed available,, you should also remember that the kit will be a relatively huge increase in available power so will compensate for the raised gearing. The clutch I recommended is the later large style clutch and will handle the power increase

  • Re: Timing settings for Augusto electronic control system (Vespa Mallossi 210)

Timing may be out if the crank keyway is machined slightly off standard or more likely if the HP4 had its new PX keyway cut in the wrong place - for what its worth I hate HP4's with a passion , they are so unpredictable and inconsistent its right pain in the danglers.

The timing should have been set to 17 - 18 degrees with the Malossi kit before you put your Agusto on. What sort of readings did you get and what did it say when strobed with the stator line and casing line matched up?

93036000 will be the better clutch for you, remember to buy a new clutch nut etc to suit as well. If you buy an Si24/24E you will probably have to reduce the size of the main jet but leave all other jets as standard ; if you keep the original carb the buy art no 40090000 art no 92060000 These should cure your fuel spill prblems, the rejetting will depend

If you need to change the carb then I agree it makes sense to go with a 24mm, all I was trying say is that if your carb is in working order then you may just as well simply rejet it to suit. Perofrmance will be better but I thought you only wanted 90-100 KMH so either carb will be fine ?? If you want a 21 tooth clutch thats easier to use than the older

  • Re: reference for odering parts for my bajaj CHETAK 125cc

Some genuine Bajaj parts being advertised for these on eBay UK as Vespa SS parts - obviously not good if you really want SS parts but cool if you really want the Bajaj bits eg Headlamp and rim etc.

  • Re: P80X upgrade?

I don't think you need a 24mm carb, you can rejet your 20mm to PX150 spec maybe + 1 or 2 on main jet size ?? Your clutch is a difficult one, I seem to remeber the 80 version having a different primary drive ?? This will limit the Clutch cog choices. 90 kmh is very modest and easily achievable with a bolt on kit { Malossi I prefer ] , rejet your
