Standard diaphragm lamellas are made of metal or glass fiber reinforced polymer. Polymer lamellas tend to rip, or worse, to break. The direct results are defunct cylinders and crankcases. Metal diaphragm lamellas also like to bend, making your motor lose precompression and power. Racing diaphragm lamellas are made of highly durable carbon. The elastic properties of these lamellas support faster closure, making your motor reaction peppier. The thickness of the lamella regulates your inlet valve timing. Thin lamellas give you more pull and acceleration, thick lamellas produce higher rpm's, which in turn, increase your end speed. Our kits come with a variety of lamellas in several thicknesses.. We recommend you try out combinations of various pairs to see which one suits your purposes best.
