For those wanting to drive a 50 cc Vespa in Germany as a mofa, we offer a throttle. This means 15 year old pilots can hit the road with their wheels. This removes the need for an expensive vehicle change when the legal age is reached for higher performance vehicles with a simple change in vehicle papers with your local inspection. Installation is simple and can be done either by the owner or a workshop. The throttle kit includes the German inspection certification papers. Installation instructions are included in delivery. The throttle kit also includes a cover for the rear seat, due to the restriction to one passenger, After installation, simply get your papers updated at your local inspection station.
This mofa throttle is available for Vespa models PK50XL and XL2 V5X3T. The performance reduction is a result of electronic rpm regulator and bloking the 3rd and 4th gears.
The throttle for the PK50XL V5A1/V5A2T is carried out by performance reduction through an electronic speed regulator and a 7 mm distance bushing in the variomatic. Both methods reduce speed to 25 km/h.
Important: when ordering, please include the vehicle serial identification number. If you send incorrect information, the ordered throttle is useless; make sure the number is correct. And: throttles cannot be returned after delivery.
