FOR RACE USE ONLY
State of the art technology! MALOSSI have released an update to the already most powerful cylinder available in the 68cc class. MHR stands for the term 'Malossi Hyper Racing' and it does exactly what it says on the tin! Their many years of extensive racing experience flows directly into the design of this product range, built for high-end racing requirements.
Using the MHR TEAM II cylinders design as a basis, the seven transfer port layout has been slightly optimised for improved performance with a newly developed boost-port and a reshaped exhaust port. The most significant update though has to be the all-new 'adaptive oval' exhaust manifold form, already seen in other high-end cylinders, especially in Moto-Cross machines. The inner shape of the manifold evolves along its length, from being ovally formed at one end, to conically circular at the other. Its outer diameter of 35mm promises a potential increase in power characteristics but brings with it a less extensive choice of compatibly dimensioned after-market exhaust systems. The gaskets for the exhaust and cylinder head are Viton 'o'-ring items and the four points of connection ensure a safe and solid mounting. As is usual a matching cylinder head and piston (with KDN 5 piston rings) are included with this conversion kit. This cylinder is also available as a TEAM FACTORY version. Here, Fabio Canatelli himself has been involved in the end design.
The TEAM FACTORY version has even more voluminous transfer and boost ports, the exhaust port bridging has been narrowed with its inlet surface area also being increased. This 'Tuned by Malossi' development manages a couple of extra horses out of this already highly tuned layout!
Aluminium/47mm bore/7 transfers/68cc
Aluminium cylinder, 39.3 mm stroke, piston with KDN 5 piston rings, 'adaptive oval' exhaust manifold system, Viton 'o'ring gasket set, matching cylinder head, gaskets, piston with specially coated high-end KDN 5 piston rings included.
SIP-TIP : The cylinder inlet on your motor casing must be machined out to an inner diameter of 56.7mm in order to fit this kit. Additionally a crankshaft with a con-rod length of 85mm will also be required. The MK 2012 version of the MALOSSI MHR TEAM cylinder is a high performance item and deserves the inclusion of similarly high-end peripheral components, such as an upgraded carb assembly, exhaust system and not forgetting a relevant transmission and gearing set-up.
