A kickstart lever is more than just a run of the mill replacement engine part. It provides an optical centre point for the gear box area of any custom project motor. More than most parts, it is directly exposed to being kicked about a lot, therefore will require replacement when it is worn out.
Most of the kick-starters we have available include a fixing bolt and a pedal rubber unless indicated otherwise. The original kick-starter pedals are made of aluminium alloy. We have aftermarket items available with a chromed finish, blue anodised and carbon fibre effect finishes. The shorter kick-starter version, which was an OE PIAGGIO item originally supplied with the P150S, fits all other PX models and also improves the “race prepared” look of your VESPA.
Helpful Hint: If you have fitted a PX motor into an earlier VESPA model you can still use the original kick-starter providing you also fit the original kick-starter shaft be it from a VNA VESPA a Sprint or even a T5. Another method to 'age' the appearance of the kick-starter is to replace it with the upwardly curved PX item that imitates the appearance of the kick-starter of the earlier models, so retaining the kick-starter shaft assembly from the PX motor.
SIP-TIP: Do not forget to order a new fixing bolt and pedal rubber for your new kick-starter unless they are already included. With colour coordinated rubbers and chrome plated engine parts you can highly individualise or customise your VESPA effectively and noticeably.
