An alternative to the HP4 is the PINASCO flywheel. Lighter flywheels allow the motor to rev more freely and higher and since are a very popular and also economic motor tuning option. Through lower centrifugal mass, a quicker acceleration of the motor is enabled while also releasing more power to the rear wheel. The scooters throttle response is improved, revs higher and accelerates quicker. This is all down to the reduced weight of this flywheel, and much less weight attached to the crankshaft.
This flywheel produced by PINASCO convinces with the usual high build quality we have come to expect from this brand. Its weight (1600g) puts it between the HP4 and the original PIAGGIO flywheels. The fan fins ensure adequate fresh air supply and so help prevent an overheating of the cylinder. With certain kits lacking mid-range power, this flywheel helps bridge the gap between third and fourth gear.
