The Vespa small-frame clutch cover has gone the same way as many PIAGGIO products. Manufacture ended a long time ago. Good second hand parts are becoming increasingly hard to find. We've solved the paradox of being able to offer an extensive range of clutches without being able to cover them properly by having our own made.
Precision, solidity and an exact fit are the best words used to describe our new SIP Vespa PK XL2 clutch covers. With high quality castings, an intensive CNC Milling process and surface finishing. The outer profile is also strengthened. A more extensive machining of the cover is also possible to enable the fitting of the larger conversion clutches. The single-sided-sealed clutch bearing is also included. This clutch cover fits almost all geared small frame motors. Plug and play!
For optimal tuning potential we recommend the use of the extensively tried and tested PK XL2 clutch with its bearing equipped thrust plate. This combination enables easy and reliable clutch operation. Which makes it ideal for road or race tuning projects. To enable the use of bigger tyre sizes the cover will have to be machined or wheel spacers used.
Vespa 50-125/PV/ET3 riders normally will have to alter the brake base-plate to fit or use the brake base-plate from the PK motor when using the original PK50XL cover. The SIP clutch cover fits also these scooters without modifications.
