Floor runners are an absolute must. Not only do they protect your bodywork, they also play an important role in the look of every vespa, and last but not least help ensure a sure grip between your shoe soles and your vespa. Since floor runners can be relatively quickly worn through, we have replacement kits for all vespa models, of differing styles and price range.
PREMIUM: An absolute top quality floor runner kit from MAURO PASCOLI. Only the finest quality materials are used in their production. The rubber inserts, the outer and mid aluminium end-caps, the aluminium rivets and the floor runners are proof in itself of the quality of this kit. The metal bodies of the runners are supplied preformed to fit the contours of your scooters bodywork. The ends of the runners metal bodies have also been drilled ready for the rivets. High quality black rubber inserts are included in this kit, with outer and mid aluminium end-caps and a set of mounting rivets.
Replica: The floor runner kit is already preformed, but may need a little “gentle mechanical persuasion” while fitting... This kit includes black rubber inserts, uniformed end-caps and a set of mounting rivets.
Polished stainless steel: An optical highlight and an excellent alternative to the run of the mill aluminium floor runner bodies, these floor runners are made of stainless steel, polished to a high standard. For an exact fit while mounting you may have to drill a few extra holes. The metal bodies of the runners are also preformed, but may need a little extra help during fitting. As opposed to usual floor runner kit fixings, these are not riveted but screwed to the frame. Rubber gaskets for the length of the runners and caps and mounting screws are included in this kit.
SIP-TIP: Spray the rubber inserts with silicon spray before pulling them into the floor runners. This will save a lot of time and cursing. Also when planning a rebuild, including respray and new runners, check that the mounting holes correspond before painting... This saves even more time and even more cursing (See above). Do not screw-mount your runners when attempting an original restoration!
