    thread on brake Clutch nut on VNB2T


    Having problems with my Vespa from 1961, im trying to get the brake nut off but cant figure out if I am to use clockwise or counter clockwise turns... The threads are worn so I cant see which way to turn! I really DONT want to tighten it any more Tongue Tied

    Hope someone can help me

    If you mean this nut?

    Then it's counter clockwise.
    You can poor it with WD40, or try to heat the nut up with a torch or something similar.

    Thanks for the quick answer!

    Got the 100kg neighbour to sit on the bike, put the front wheel against a brick wall and, heated the nut after drowning it in wd40 for a day or two, still wouldn't budge! Had to buy an impact wrench to loosen it, then got the neighbour again!
