You won't smell gas or burned rummer at the first scooter of the year, but polish and wax!
The visitor's of the scooter customshow in Saarbrücken are stunned by gold and chrome and the SIP team was there and brought a bling bling report back home for you. We saw a number of new scooters this year, from drag to high class custom. There was something to every taste. Very en vogue this year: Japan style.
Here's a fine example of the species by Thomas Schmitt, who once again presented a new project
: Wide base tires front and rear - never seen before! Thomas has the rare gift to turn ugly scoots into gems. He found this model in an ATU shop and had a vision of gold and fat tires right there. "I totaly fancied the paint. It definitely had to stay" he tells us.
Alongside the building center scooter trend you had the chance to see many air-ride customs. Shocks filled with pressurised air and all kinds of lever constructions made the scooters go up and down.
Also the SIP Street-Team Augsburg developed an air-ride fork that makes their scooter jump.

Speedline from Denmark had their double cylinder sprinter on display. Interesting frame construction, 2 times polini big evo and a fat rear wheel - looks like power!
In the field of engine tuning there were a couple of 2 cylinder engines to be marveled at and a 2stroke 3 cylinder automatic engine that won the "best dealer demonstrator" category.
All in all another great custom show!
