What Hamer said above. Piaggio PR machine was briefing against the PX as old tech while promoting their more expensive twist and go's. In the meantime LML kept on producing, improved quality and made long term investments in 4 stroke engines which are available now.

Piaggio's re-introduced 2 stroke is eye-wateringly expensive compared to the equivalent LML. I mean, in the Uk, you can buy a PX; or for about £1000 less buy a better painted LML. £1000 goes a long way in tuning goodies.

Piaggio sold out the PX Vespisti and have only jumped on the bandwagon after LML / Stella made a success of their versions. Mad to think that the Italians have become the imitators eh ? At least LML priced their copy 2 strokes accordingly, wait and see what premium the Pontedera guys put on the badge.

As the owner of a 1978 P200E, which I've owned since new, i hope this rumor proves to be true. I like the PX platform. Hopefully, the new PX will have tubeless tires, disc brakes and modern suspension. i'd like to see a 200 or 250cc engine as well; an engine which could do brief stints on the freeway.
