... and we went there to support our friends Roxy, Heimo, Gerhard und Vici of the Leibnitz Scooteria!
The weather gods were a little moody, but that didn’t prevent almost 900 good-humoured Vespisti from gathering near the stone quarry in Leibnitz. They came not only from Austria but also from Germany, Switzerland and Slovenia to indulge in their common passion: VESPA
There were plenty of things to be seen and done: Fun sports like ‘throwing engines’ for the guys and a rubber race for the ladies. Customshow, bodypainting, p4 dyno, wheeliemachine, many sales stalls and display stands, the „Cats on the Nip“ (a brilliant Rockabilly band).
There was something to every taste. In case you ever fancied flying, you could just get into the helicopter and enjoy the great view over the area and the many visitors.
The rideout was shortened to 30km (60km had been planned) due to the bad weather and our masterplan was to film it with our HD helmet cam. Unfortunately the cam seems to have decided on rather taking two pictures and go back to sleep right afterwards.
We did take a lot of pictures though during the rest of the weekend, that you can check out here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/sipscootershop/sets/72157624890976560/

All in all: A great weekend in Styria. A cordial thank you to the organisers of the Vespaclub Leibnitz, who once again excelled themselves with this event.
Organiser Heimo Runggaldier told us: „We are not happy until everybody is!!“ Dear Heimo, you can rightfully be happy, because your event was a total success. We will definitely come back next year and support you!
So long... „Vespa roll..!!“
